Is there a difference between hiking and snowshoeing?

Yes, but it's only in terms of the shoes that this happens! Unlike hiking, which only requires good walking shoes, snowshoeing requires a bit more equipment. Nothing extravagant, don't worry! Only small oval-shaped snowshoes, adapted to your size and weight. They are the ultimate condition to be able to walk without getting your feet caught in the big snow. On the cardio side, the snowshoe hikes are similar to classic walks. The objective? Simply enjoy the view and breathe in the pure mountain air.

In theory no, in practice... We highly recommend it. It's not so much because the trails are dangerous, quite the opposite. All the addresses for snowshoeing are marked and very well secured. But from a discovery point of view, the presence of a guide is always very pleasant. Mountain professional and nature lover, he will be able to lead you to the most incredible spots and give you great stories about the place in question.
