Opening of ski resorts: what we know

The health situation linked to Covid-19 does not allow French ski resorts to function normally. The Prime Minister thus announced that “all ski lifts and collective facilities are closed to the public” until further notice. So this means that downhill skiing is still unthinkable. Restaurants, bars, clubs and holiday villages are also affected by this closure. Although theOpening of Chamonix 2020 resorts-2021 is compromised, mountain professionals still offer a large number of activities for unforgettable holidays.

Fortunately, downhill skiing is not the only activity that can be enjoyed in the Alps. Even without theOpening of ski resorts, the snow is waiting for you!

Private lessons or courses in small groups (5 people maximum), for example, represent a very interesting alternative, especially for beginners. You will thus be able to introduce yourself to the joys of skiing or snowboarding, regardless of your level or age. Children aged 5 to 7 will love the lessons for little teddy bears offered in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. And, for children under 4, Piou-Piou ski lessons are also available.

Hiking enthusiasts won't need to wait for a potential Opening in Chamonix in 2020 2021 to devote themselves to their passion. More or less technical snowshoe walks are organized daily by guides in the region who welcome visitors alone, as a couple or in small groups.

Don't miss out on sledding, snooc touring, cross-country skiing or an electric scooter ride on snow either! The Domaine des Planards, for example, is the ideal place to enjoy these unforgettable activities with the family.
