Located in the Planards ski area, the Chamonix Amusement Park offers a wide range of activities for all ages. Between slides, trampolines, mountain biking,
splash boats, carousel and toy excavators… The hardest thing will be to stop!
But the most appealing attraction is the summer sled.
What is the Alpine Coaster toboggan?
If you love sledging in the winter, you can also go sledging in the summer!
The Alpine Coaster toboggan in Chamonix is an activity that can be enjoyed in winter as well as in summer and which appeals to young and old alike.
Whether you are a thrill-seeker, a child who loves rides, or looking for an activity after long days of skiing or hiking, summer tobogganing is for you!
The advantage of this attraction is that it suits all tastes. Indeed, it is possible to adjust its speed, so that no one is left behind.
This attraction is a downhill ride on a toboggan attached to rails. This roller coaster in the heart of the Planards resort is 1,300 metres long and features sharp turns, jumps, waves and even 540° twists.
The Alpine Coaster toboggan was opened in 2011, replacing the old summer toboggan and is located in the centre of Chamonix. It offers a thrill or a leisurely ride on the mountain, depending on your taste, as the speed can be adjusted with a lever that acts as a brake.
The advantages of this summer luge are that it is open all year round, in summer and winter. It is accessible from the age of 3, accompanied by an adult or alone from the age of 8. It is possible to go up alone, with two children or even with two adults. This attraction is of course completely safe, whatever the weather.
The attraction is a closed circuit, which means that you get into your sledge at the bottom of the site and are pulled up to the top. Then… the adventure begins!
Open all year round, except from November to mid-December, opening hours vary according to the time of year, school holidays and weekends.
It is also possible to privatise the site outside opening hours, subject to conditions.
The summer toboggan has the same price all year round, which is degressive according to the number of laps you buy:
- 1 ride = 8 €
- 6 rides = 40 €
- 10 rides = 64 €
Please note that the vending machines for the summer luge are not the same as for the other attractions in the park.
The entrance to the park is free of charge, then you have to buy tokens for the attractions. Here are the prices for the attractions in the park:
- 1 token = 2 €
- 8 tokens = 14 €
- 18 tokens = 24 €
There are also combos:
- For an unlimited bracelet giving access to the = 5 €
- For a package of 2 luge rides + 18 tokens + 2 unlimited slide = 40 €
How to get there:
The amusement park, located at 351 chemin du pied du Grépon, 74400 Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, is in the centre of town and there are several ways to get there:
- By car, two car parks are located close to the theme park, Les Planards and Le Biollay.
- By bus, you can stop at the nearest bus stop on the Place Mont Blanc with the free Chamonix bus or at the Mulet stop at the Chamonix train station.
- By train, by stopping at the Chamonix Centre railway station.
To take a break or after having had your fill of sensations, you can take advantage of the restaurant services set up near the attractions site or return to the ski slopes.
