Grandeur Nature Holiday Village

Chamonix, in the Alps at the foot of Mont Blanc, is the world capital of high-mountain sports. Highly appreciated for its unique panorama and must-see sites, the resort is one of the oldest and most legendary in France.

The Valley, which in addition to Chamonix includes Servoz, Les Houches, Vallorcine and Argentière, has diversified over the years to appeal to as many people as possible and offer a wide range of activities in summer and winter alike.

After its great success in summer 2020, the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley is once again offering Le Village Vacances Grandeur Nature for summer 2021, from July 12 to August 27.

What is Le Village Vacances Grandeur Nature?

From July 12 to August 27, 2021, anyone who has booked a stay of at least 3 nights in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley (hotel, campsite, vacation center, furnished rental...) will have access from Monday to Friday to a selection of activities, free of charge!

The whole area, the Tourist Office and its partners, do their best to offer a wide choice of activities and propose a stay of discovery, sensations, emotions or sports with family or friends.

This summer, treat yourself to a vacation in the mountains and enjoy nature and the wide-open spaces of the Alps. There's something for everyone, with almost 40 activities to choose from. Whether you're looking for adventure, entertainment or culture, the choice is yours!

How does it work?

The Village Vacances Grandeur Nature is for all those staying in commercial accommodation in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley, from July 12 to August 27, for a minimum of 3 nights.

This applies to hotels, furnished rentals, gîtes, chambres d'hôtes, campsites and vacation villages in Chamonix, Les Houches, Servoz, Argentière and Vallorcine.

For stays of 3 to 4 nights, 2 activities are offered per household. For stays of 5 nights or more, 3 activities will be offered per household.

The offer is valid from Monday to Friday, for one activity per day, alone or with all members of the household, and for different activities during the stay.

For example, if you have access to 3 activities during Le Village Vacances Grandeur Nature, you can choose to take part in a family tree-climbing day on Tuesday, plan a day at the amusement park for the kids on Wednesday and finally try the sophrology walk for couples on Friday, for a relaxing moment in nature.

Depending on the activity, capacity is more or less limited. Advance booking is therefore essential, and will be possible subject to availability.

Reservations must be made no later than 5 p.m. the day before the activity, with your accommodation provider, on the Internet via a Tourist Office form, or on presentation of your guest card (issued by your accommodation provider), directly at the Tourist Office.

Once you have made your reservation, check the booking confirmation for the meeting place andAMENITIES .

Activities at Village Vacances Grandeur Nature

At Le Village Vacances Grandeur Nature, over 35 activities are available every day of the week. 25 daytime activities and evening entertainment to keep the fun going.

To make the most of the mountains in summer, with family, friends or on your own, there's something for everyone: in the water, on land or in the air, the hardest part will be choosing.

Nature lovers will be delighted to take part in a "forest bath", a 3-hour discovery of sylvotherapy and connection with the natural world around them, or a "sophrology walk", a 1.5-hour reconnection with nature based on the principles of sophrology. Or learn more about mountain flora and fauna by signing up for the "Biodiversity in the mountains" or "Edible plants in the Alps" activities.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, there are "guided tours" of lakes, gorges, wildlife parks and cultural attractions. You can also go Nordic walking or hiking.

For thrill-seekers and sports enthusiasts, there's "rafting" for 2 hours, "rock climbing", "trail initiation", "biathlon initiation" for 1 hour of shooting with laser rifle and mini-challenge. There are also "electric mountain bike outings", with or without supervision, to discover the valley and mountain trails.

For families, there's plenty to choose from! "Orienteering", "family Olympics", "treasure hunts", "pony rides"... But that's not all, you can also choose to spend some time at the valley's "amusement park", to try out the summer toboggan and other attractions. Or you could opt for a "laser game" or "paintball", for the grown-ups. Or go to the "accrobranches park", for a bit of height.

At the end of the day, there's plenty of entertainment on offer in the valley. Open-air cinema, a children's show, Zumba initiation... In short, everything you need for an excellent summer mountain vacation.
