Patinoire R. Bozon
In Chamonix, the Richard Bozon sports center is a complex featuring a swimming pool, climbing wall, weight room, squash court... It was named after mountain guide Richard Bozon, who died in an avalanche in 1995. This year, why not try or repeat the experience of sliding on ice? The R. Bozon skating rink is located right next to the sports complex. Depending on the season and weather conditions, you can use either the outdoor or indoor rink. The indoor rink is a 60 m x 30 m Olympic rink. It's home to multiple French ice hockey champions, including Chamonix Hockey Club, France's most successful club, and the French curling team. It has a seating capacity of 1,700. The 26 m x 56 m outdoor natural ice rink is open only during the winter season, depending on weather conditions.

Ice hockey in Chamonix
Chamonix Hockey Club or CHC, also known as Chamois de Chamonix, is a French ice hockey club. It has won the most titles in the French ice hockey championship, with 30 victories. The Chamois celebrated their 100th anniversary in the 2009-2010 season. After a failed merger attempt with the Morzine-Avoriaz Penguins during the 2016-2017 season, the professional team returned to Chamonix under the name Les Pionniers de Chamonix. Open to the public all year round, the Richard Bozon ice rink welcomes the Pionniers on match nights. With a capacity of up to 1,700 fans, the arena is considered one of the championship's "big ice rinks". The R. Bozon rink is also home to the Club de Patinage Artistique de Chamonix (CPAC), the official club in the Chamonix valley. The club was founded in 1967, inspired by the first Winter Olympics held in Chamonix in 1924. Today, the CPAC boasts over 100 skaters and a professional coaching team, and continues to welcome girls and boys, as well as adults, including beginners.
