One of the main attractions that make this destination unique is the Aiguille du Midi cable car ! From the center of Chamonix, this machine transports you to the gateway to the Haute Montagne, at an altitude of 3842m. The journey is in two stages: the first section takes you up to the Plan de l'Aiguille (2300m), and the second over the Pèlerins glacier and the north face of the Aiguille.
This cable car will give you a magnificent panoramic view of Mont Blanc. And rest assured, numerous measures are taken according to weather conditions to guarantee passenger safety all year round.
The top of the cable car's intermediate station also offers an interesting view of the Arve Valley, and a number of hiking trails from the Aiguille du Midi to the other Chamonix needles, as well as to other new destinations such as Montenvers, Lac Bleu and the Alpages de Blaitière.

For the Aiguille du Midi fare, there are a number of options: adult, youth, additional youth, or the family package (2 adults, 2 youth). Rates are also available for a round trip between Chamonix and the Aiguille du Midi (2 sections), or a round trip to the Pointe d'Helbronner. Better still, with a Multipass package, you can take advantage of several sites, as well as free access to the panoramic terrace elevator. In all cases, we recommend that you book your stay in advance.

Are you looking forward to a unique high-altitude experience? But don't forget to choose a suitable period. The site is open from mid-December to mid-March (8.10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.), from mid-March to the end of May (8.10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.), from the end of May to mid-June (8.10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.) and from mid-June to the beginning of July (7.10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.). L'aiguille du midi is also open from July to mid-August (6.10 am to 6 pm), from mid-August to the end of August (7.10 am to 5.30 pm), in September (8.10 am to 5.30 pm) and in October (8.10 am to 4.30 pm).
The site is normally closed from November to mid-December, but occasional closures are also possible depending on wind and weather conditions, for safety reasons. So don't forget to choose your "aiguille du midi" rate according to the length of your stay and the period that suits you best!
